Can My Insurance Cover an Inpatient Addiction Program 100% ?

Question by khamla95: Can my insurance cover an inpatient addiction program 100% ?
I have Aetna insurance under my father, and last night i got ahold of a drug treatment facility to check into an inpatient rehab clinic for my prescription drug addiction. The woman gave me lots of info and took my insurance and called the insurance company to get an approval and when she called back today she said they will cover the 28-day inpatient program 100% with no expense to me, (The Holistic Addiction Treatment Center that is shown on shows like intervention and such…) she even said they would cover the flight to the center (It is in florida and I am located in Ohio where there are no covered treatment centers)

World Drug Addiction Statistics?

Question by Max: World Drug Addiction Statistics?
I was extremely curious if anyone has a chart or something saying what percentage of the population are drug/alcohol addicts split up country to country. It seems like the rate is very high in the United States meaning that just being born here makes us more prone to drug addiction. Very interesting..

I don’t think we are more prone, we just have a lot more access. People can abuse prescription drugs quite easily by going to different MD’s. Then they get hooked and will buy off the street if they can’t get a prescription. Just like we have more shootings than most places, the guns are easily had.

My daughter met this kid (Jon) online several years ago. I started talking to him about a year ago when he had some problems and didn’t know what to do or where to turn. He is such a sweet kid. I say kid, he was 18, but is a kid to me. I have grown to love him like my own son. He has a big heart and he is very nice.

Question by Cable Girl: What are the signs of drug abuse withdrawal of someone coming out of anesthesia?

a drug addict has brain surgery. post op, during recovery, he’s agitated, and combative. is this a result of the withdrawal from opiates, barbituates, benzo’s, etc? he used these within 24 hours of the surgery.

Your question doesn’t make sense. And I’m an anesthesiologist. Anesthesia does not precipitate withdrawal, and would probably actually prevent it for a while.
