I’m looking for some movies about someone who falls from grace and loses everything either due to drug addiction or substance abuse. Possibly about someone who starts drinking and beings to use other drugs until they’ve lost everything, or about someone successful whose life spirals out of control. If the movie ends with them finding religion that would be even better. I can’t seem to find anything quite what I’m looking for. The movie Cocaine Angel is about as close as I can get.

im a junior in high school and was thinking about looking into psychology in college. and i realize that i would be more interested in working in a rehab center and i was wondering where i would start? like what to take in college besides psychology and so on

Most of the people who work at rehabs have had substance abuse issues of the own. You won’t see many psychologists working at rehabs, you will find psychiatrists because they can write prescriptions, psychologists can’t.

I am applying to the University of Maryland: College Park and I REALLY need an amazing essay. I consider myself to be a strong writer, but I’m struggling with a topic. Here is the prompt:
Please describe your past academic experiences and your reasons for wishing to enroll to Maryland at this point in your academic career. Students who have been out of school for several years, or who have a personal circumstance that affected performance, may wish to address that situation in their essay. Your essay should be no more than 300 words.
