An intervention specialist can also take charge of doing programs that will tackle issues about drug abuse in order for people, especially teenagers, to shy away from using drugs.

Don’t worry, I’m not trying to use it, it’s for my gcse coursework and I’d like to be very scientific and get into detail about how it works. You know, include stuff about synapses and THC and such. But I’ve been looking around and I’ve only read about the EFFECTS and it doesn’t say what cannabis does in the body/brain to produce these effects.

What does the treatment involve?
Is it anything like Alcoholics Anonymous, where they go to weekly meetings and say, “Hi, my name is John and I’m an alcoholic (or drug addict). Then they talk to other people at the meeting about drinking and why they like it, etc. Then learn the 12 steps and they are done. Or does drug rehab involve something totally different?
