Alcohol Addiction/dependancy?

Question by : Alcohol addiction/dependancy?
I’m curious on what the signs of alcohol addiction are, so that if I find myself experiencing these right away I can help myself. I do drink a lot, more than I should. My doctor says a woman my age and body type (20 years old, 5’6″, 108 pounds) should only be having 9 drinks a week, and I have at least 20-30 a week. I feel I have become relyant on it at some point. Is this the same as addiction?

It does seem like you’re on your way to addiction. I really think you should try to limit the amount of alcohol you drink.

It’s okay to drink for fun. The scary thing about addiction is that you don’t generally notice when you have become addicted and deny it if you do know. You will not just want a drink you will “need” one to get through your day, typically a lot more than one once you’re a full blown alcoholic. If you can still put the bottle down and be happy. You’re not addicted yet at that point but you could be well on your way. Be careful and good luck 🙂 quitting isn’t easy after you’re addicted. Been there.
